Why Partner With US
[/trx_title][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In rural areas of resource challenged countries, increasing challenges confront the newborn who survive the first Golden Minute of life. MVP believes that addressing childhood malnutrition is important first step in addressing recurrent health issues of children in resource challenge countries. Children are increasingly vulnerable to conflicts among rural communities due to food scarcity.
According to the CDC, Nigeria has more cases of death due to malaria than any other country in the world. The most vulnerable of these are children under five and pregnant women. MVP works hard to provide education and treatment services to these and other preventable childhood illnesses like diarrhea, pneumonia and the importance of good nutrition in disease prevention.
In the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica, MVP works the health officials in rural areas on important issues of immunization and childhood nutrition.
MVP recognizes that children often become the first victims of adult “food fights” in communities. MVP works and educates local community heads and leaders in the importance of basic child nutrition in disease prevention and treatment.
